What You Can Expect
BlueJay Living is a shared recovery residence that accommodates approximately eight residents in a welcoming home environment.
Residents share common living spaces while enjoying a structured setting that encourages personal growth, mutual respect, and accountability.
Our home is designed to feel like a home—not an institution—while providing the consistency and support that many people need during early recovery.
In addition to recovery support, residents have opportunities to develop practical life skills, receive individualized case management, and participate in life skills and employment readiness activities that promote confidence, independence, and long-term success.
Our Recovery Community
Every resident becomes part of a community where recovery is supported every day through shared expectations and encouragement.
Residents are expected to:
- Maintain a substance-free lifestyle.
- Respect fellow residents, staff, neighbors, and the home.
- Participate in individual counseling and case management.
- Attend recovery meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), SMART Recovery, or another approved recovery support program that aligns with their recovery goals.
- Participate in house meetings and community activities.
- Work toward personal goals related to employment, education, financial stability, volunteering, or independent living with individualized support and guidance.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, respectful living environment.
- Participate in life skills and employment readiness activities designed to prepare for long-term independence.
Recovery Looks Different for Everyone
Recovery is a personal journey, and no two paths look exactly alike. At BlueJay Living, we provide a structured recovery community designed to support each resident as they work toward lasting change.
Residents are encouraged to actively engage in counseling, case management, recovery meetings, and other supportive services that strengthen long-term recovery. To make that process as seamless as possible, BlueJay Living works closely with trusted behavioral health professionals who understand the unique needs of our residents and can help coordinate services from the very beginning.
Our coordinated approach helps simplify the transition into recovery by connecting residents with counseling, case management, and other supportive resources, allowing them to focus on what matters most—building a healthy, independent future.
Whether someone is taking their first steps in recovery or continuing the progress they've already made, our goal is to remove barriers, provide meaningful support, and create an environment where recovery can thrive.
Life skills and employment readiness may include résumé development, interview preparation, job searching, communication skills, workplace expectations, budgeting, transportation planning, and goal setting.
Our goal is to help each member of our recovery community build not only lasting recovery, but also a stable and fulfilling future.
Building a Life Beyond Recovery
At BlueJay Living, we believe long-term success includes developing the skills and confidence needed to thrive beyond our home. Through individualized case management and supportive programming, members of our recovery community have opportunities to strengthen practical life skills, prepare for employment, improve financial responsibility, build healthy routines, and work toward greater independence.
Recovery is about more than maintaining sobriety—it's about creating a life that feels meaningful and sustainable.
A Community That Grows Together
Recovery is strengthened by relationships.
Through house meetings, community outings, recovery activities, and shared experiences, residents develop healthy connections that reduce isolation and create opportunities for encouragement, accountability, and lasting friendships.
Whether it's attending community events, volunteering, celebrating milestones, or simply sharing dinner together, we believe recovery happens in everyday moments as much as in formal treatment.
